A date?

See, Tyler and I do stuff too.  I don't remember when this was but we did go somewhere.  We went to the Kimball Art Center in Park City to look at Legos.  The exhibit was pretty cool and Tyler got some ideas for more things  to decorate our home with more Legos.
As is typical with our dates, we think to ourselves, "Hey let's go shopping by ourselves."  Which always turns into a disaster.  For example we went to a high end shopping mall, and I don't even really enjoy it because I spend the whole time thinking "Who are all these insane people dressed up in crazy clothes and purchasing expensive things?", "Who would buy a $400 pair of shoes, or a $6,000 sofa?", "Who let's their teenagers run around the mall?", etc, etc.   Anyway I guess the rest of the world and I don't get along, I couldn't even bring myself to buy a $35 pair of shoes at the outlets.  "I don't really need shoes", I thought, "besides $35 is a lot to spend on a pair of shoes for me, when I don't even hardly go anywhere."   I think I have a phobia of spending small amounts of cash on things.  Luckily the exhibit was fun so the weekend wasn't a total bust.

Seriously why do we even try.

K, Easter morning was insane.  I was getting ready for a musical number in church and also trying to get four people to look semi ok, and also trying to get pictures for a grandma.  Interesting enough all of my things didn't really turn out very well.  So I have moved on, but am posting these pictures to show that I really did try.  And I would be happy to try for pictures again on a not-so-hectic day.  For the first dozen pictures the camera was in the wrong mode, so they came out blurry.

Catch-Up

We have really funny kids around here.

Two quick case-in-points.

1)  One day I put a pair of pants on June that had a hole in the knee.  I walked away feeling fine with what I had accomplished, but June quickly followed me saying "help, help!"  and pointing at her knee.  Seriously what sort of one year old cares about holes in pants?

2) I have been kind of bugged lately because Gem was still wearing her boots to school even though the snow was gone.  Well one morning she said to me.  "Mom, today at recess I am going to catch those boys".  I saw my chance and snuck in.  I said "Well you would run a lot faster if you weren't wearing boots".  She hasn't worn her boots since.
