Final Blog Post

So I have been updating this blog for a few years now, and I think I am ready to put it to rest.  It has been a good run.  My reasoning is that I am trying to live more in the moment and enjoy life more by simplifying things as much as I can; meaning I am letting go of non-essential or non-joyful things, this blog being one of those things.  Just writing that huge (probably run-on) sentence makes me relieved to not have to worry about this thing anymore.  I am a teeny tiny bit more carefree and it was worth it.

Thanks

Vacation

Tyler and I were able to go on a little vacation last week.  Thanks Julie and Dave for watching the kids.  We went to Mesa Verde and Arches, which the above picture is neither.  It was super fun and you know it is a good vacation when you get up before six both mornings and three days later your calves still hurt.

Funny Levi Sayings

A couple conversations with Levi. . .

At the cabin with Tyler
Levi: Do we live in a dream?
Tyler:  Ummm. . .  no.
Levi:  I had a dream that there were a lot of Junies.

(That sounds like a nightmare to me)

At the museum getting a drink of water
Me:  Are you all done?
Levi: No, I need a thousand million drinks.

Making a wallet out of paper
Levi:  Mom can I have 26 pieces of tape?

Gem's Birthday

Gem turned 8 this year, and she wanted to have a friend party.  So we found a recipe to make big bubbles.  I think it was a success, Gem said it was fun.  I think it would have been more of a success if it hadn't been a million degrees outside.

Weird Boy

They never cease to amaze me with how strange they can be.  Yes, he is asleep in the closet.

Baby Animal Days

The kids had fun going to baby animal days a few weeks ago.  I wasn't there so I can't really provide any commentary.

Payson Temple

Some people probably think I exaggerate about how bad my kids are at taking pictures.  Notice the only child in this picture who looks normal is our friend we brought along with us.
