Levi was born Monday July 19th at 2:32 PM. He was 7 pounds 15 ounces, and measured 21 inches long.

Grandma's House

Gem and Grandma Christiansen left yesterday on a plane to grandma's house. Gem was so excited to ride on the plane, and grandma reported that she was very good and stayed in her seatbelt the whole time (though she did spill an entire bag of goldfish).

Obviously she is doing just fine without her parents. My sister Kim sent this picture to me this morning. She said Gem only had to say "Bella come eata carrot" a thousand times for the Bella to finally eat it.

Gem is going to be so sad to come home in a few weeks, after having so much fun out there with her grandmas and grandpas and uncles and aunts. We hope our baby is born so we actually do get to come get her.

Where is the Baby?

Oh, I know the answer. He is still inside of me. How frustrating. I went to the doctor's yesterday and I was still dilated the same as the week before, after who knows how many walks. As of today, we are headed out to Utah in 13 days and each day that goes by means we will have a younger and a younger baby (and a sorer and sorer mom) when we head out there for my sister's wedding.

Gem tries to help me out. She talks to my tummy, she says "get outta momma's tummy baby levi". It hasn't worked yet, but I don't think we will stop trying.

Luckily this afternoon we are taking my mom and Gem to the Burbank airport. Gem is excited to go to grandma's house. Especially since we got her a backpack with new toys that she can't open until she gets in the airport. I figure going down to Burbank is the best way to send me into labor, since I will be two hours from the hospital.
