Honey
We had two bee hives this year. One is barely scraping by and we did not take any of their honey. But the other hive was on production overload, and this is what we harvested from it. About 100 pounds of honey, or two five gallon buckets mostly full. So far Tyler has really enjoyed having bees and we hope to keep doing it. Hopefully when our kids are older we can let them take care of the bees and then they could sell some honey, that could help them pay for their own missions. That is the far away plan anyway :)
I am so jealous! It looks incredible. Does Gem like helping in her little beekeepers suit?
ReplyDeleteThat is so great! I wish we could buy honey from you. I would imagine that job is pretty messy, but you managed to make it look quite clean.
