One of my great friends (Natalie) came over today. We had a good time chatting and crafting. She was even a good sport to let me use her glitter, even though I am such a clutz and spilled a few different colors a few different times. Anyway I painted, modge podged, glittered, and ribboned these three cut little presents. And if I do say so myself they turned out pretty swell. Thanks Natalie!

A Big Baby
Levi is showing off his skills again. I found him in the baby playpen. I am assuming that he stood on the little giraffe toy, manage to break down the side and then leaped in headfirst. Hmm, I suppose if he can get into it, then the playpen is not really going to be necessary in the living room anymore.

Levi vs. Mommy
Ever since my son was born and could already lift his head and roll over, I knew this day was coming. (June still can't roll over and she is four months old.)
He has decided to start jumping off of things. For example his new favorite activity is to climb onto something and if I am within 3 feet of him he attempts to jump onto me. But he is not a great jumper and usually he just manages to escape a horrible death because I catch him at the last minute.
I am lucky so far, because he has not jumped off the table or the piano. Thank heavens. But he loves to climb up onto the table to get my attention, because he knows whatever I am doing that I have to come get him off the table. He laughs and laughs and thinks this is a great game, no matter how mad I get he just doesn't understand that I am not playing with him.
Yesterday he was moving the ottoman around and leaping off it onto the nearest furniture. Mostly he wouldn't make it to the furniture but he still thought it was hilarious as he tumbled to the floor.
He enjoys moving the table bench behind the sofa and climbing over the sofa back and falling onto the cushions below. Unfortunately for everyone else in the family he doesn't care who is sitting there, this is most unfortunate for baby June.
Anyway the point is I will do my best to prevent broken children at this house, but I can make no promises with this child who is obviously bent on becoming broken.

This Week's Post
The news this week is that Levi was breathing really weird on Saturday. So Tyler was a good daddy and took him to the doctor, where Levi managed to puke up a bunch of nasty stuff in the waiting room while they were waiting. Once in the doctor's office Levi was listened to, swabbed, and x-rayed. It was determined that he had pneumonia and he was sent home with plenty of medicine.
Above is a sick Levi, it's hard to tell because he hasn't really acted sick at all, just a little tired. The cut on his head is a completely separate episode that doesn't need to be discussed. (Let's just say that daddy was supposed to be watching him.)
Below is Levi getting his nebulizer medicine. He has really been a trooper with all the medicines we have been giving him. Today he appears to be as right as rain, except that I can still hear just a little bit of a wheeze.

Ninja Bread Men
Today on Facebook, I received the highest praise one could hope for, for one's blog. Tucker (my brother-in-law) said that my blog did not make him want to gouge his eyes out a la Oedipus. Thanks Tucker, this post is for you.
Steve (a different brother-in-law) brought over all the necessary items to help us make this ninja bread army. The box stated that they are "cut out for action". Above you can see both armies readying for the melee, while the referee ninja keeps his eyes on them.
Here is a close-up of our finest work. They are drizzled with white chocolate, and they sport throwing stars. You don't need to watch out for them, however, I let Gem eat them when she finished her chores. So in other words, my four-year-old ate ninjas for lunch.

Fear not the stealthy black clan is made only of sugar and flour. They are the better dressed army, we attribute this aspect to their vain pride.
