Last Monday Tyler had a class in San Diego, so Sunday night we headed down, we got to stay at a really nice Residence Inn in the Gas Lamp District. Anyway of course as soon as we get there Gem promptly gets a fever. I think bacteria are attracted to vacationing children. So Gem and I spent a relaxing day in the hotel room on Monday. Then Tuesday morning we stopped at the San Diego Temple we let Gem go up and touch the temple, and she will still tell you about it. We got a picture but Gem would not show her face because it was very windy. 
After the temple we went to the Santa Ana zoo, because we could get in free with our Santa Barbara zoo passes. It was very nice (lots of monkeys), but they were renovating so it was very small, so small that we only spent an hour there. We still had a half day left, so we went and got a great lunch at the Souplantation and then headed to Disneyland for the second half of the day. Below are the characters that Gem met up with.
