So almost a month ago we took the kids to go mini-golfing. Yes apparently we are crazy. I thought the kids would at least kind of be able to do it, but I way overestimated their gross motor skills. Except Gem she could at least hit the ball like a golf ball. We kept trying to show Levi how to hit it, but he was having none of it. He would sort of tap it once and then pick the ball up and put it in the hole. June would scoot her ball down the whole way with the club and then scoot it right into the hole. And Luke understood the game really quickly, it only took one hole and then he was picking up any ball he could find and putting it into any hole he could find.
The kids all had a blast though. Especially because in the arcade Tyler spun the big wheel (like on wheel of fortune) and won them 1,000 tickets. That's right 1,000 tickets, I am not exaggerating when I say it took ten minutes for the machine to spit out that many tickets. It was insane. So everyone was able to go home with the prize of their choosing. It was a fun time.

Gem's songs at her recital
I had a piano recital a couple of weeks ago for all my students. I must say I am glad it is over (It is much more stressful to plan a recital than to just go to one). Here are Gem's songs, she did pretty well.

Clip of Levi
Levi's Preschool Program
So Levi finished one year of preschool. He did pretty good in his program considering he is always incredibly unaware of what is going on around him. I had a video clip, but my computer hates me and is in total revolt and basically I can't do even simple things. It is frustrating. Anyway Levi did awesome and he is super excited for preschool next year and June will get to go with him. Though honestly, he doesn't even know preschool is over for the summer despite the fact that I have tried to tell him a few different times.

Father's and Sons
Levi and Tyler had a good time at our ward's fathers and sons. I wasn't there so I can't really tell you about it. Levi told me they "ate a hot dog and a bun, ate pancakes, and go to sleep". So there you have it.

Natural History Museum
I think Tyler and I liked the gems and minerals area the most. They had some awesome stuff on display including big pieces of pyrite and topazes and quartz and tons of other cool stuff. Unfortunately the kids did not love the rocks as much so we had to quickly move on.
They also had a guest exhibit when we went. It was all about the history of chocolate, very interesting, plus we all got a truffle at the end. Yum.
