Crime in Action

 Here is a tip for any would be criminals out there.  If you are going to steal the camera off the top shelf, by bringing in a chair from your room;  don't take a picture of the set-up and your accomplice.    Levi is obviously not quite to the super villain level yet.  Also I love how June is smiling for him in the last picture.

Little Boys

 Nothing much new to say around here.  We still find people in weird sleeping positions when we go to bed.  It is one of the perks of being a parent.

 Luke is still getting bigger.  He is finally turning into a person, and is worth taking pictures of.  As many of you know I, personally, am not a big fan of little baby pictures, I think they always turn out semi-weird.  Maybe I am just a bad photographer.  And no offense to any of your kids baby pictures, they are beautiful :)

Sunflowers

Seriously I haven't posted in a really long time.  I just haven't done anything noteworthy for a while.  I just change diapers, give baths, make lunches, and pick green beans.  But seriously that really is all I do.

 But I thought some of you would be interested in how huge our sunflowers have gotten.  We just tried them out this year and I have never grown them before.  I am posing by the tallest one in the top picture.  We think it is a good nine feet tall.  So crazy!

In other news, wait we have no other news :)  If something doesn't happen soon I am probably going to go crazy.  I don't do well just waiting around.

Painting Fun

 I have been trying to help the kids do stuff besides just watch TV all day.  So once a week we do a craft.  Here we are just painting posters in the backyard.  Being outside really helps with the clean-up.

 

 Levi had fun but he kept getting sand in his paintbrush.  He was trying to mix mediums, I guess.

 

 June won the messiest painter award.  You can see she even painted her upper lip green.

The Zoo

 We had a fun time at the zoo a couple weeks ago.  We came right when it opened, before the heat and crowds showed up.  And everyone had a really good time.  All in all it was one of our more successful family outings.  It also helped that my brothers, and sister were there to help.  Thanks!

 

 

 Levi stood next to the grizzly bear.  But nobody would stand next to the big gorilla, he was a little too scary.

Stuff from June

 Tyler and I ran the 5k again this year.  And we did considerably better than last year when I was pregnant.  Tyler ran it in 28:30 (I think) and I finished in 25:40.  We only run the Pleasant View 5k because it is downhill and makes us look like we are in shape.

 

 One evening we found Levi asleep sitting on a chair.  I think this wins so far for weirdest sleeping positions in our family.

 Gem finished her last game of coach pitch baseball.  Tyler and I were reminded yet again that there isn't really any athletic talent in our genes, and also that we really don't enjoy watching little kids stand around and do what grown-ups tell them to do.  First off it is super boring and secondly it only looks like one or two kids are actually having fun.  However all in all I think Gem enjoyed it and we will probably forget how much we dislike it, when it rolls around to sign up again next year.

In other news half of the family had a birthday in the past two weeks, but it appears I only got a picture of Gem.  June is now two and she sure has a two year old attitude.  Tyler turned an ancient 31.  And Gem is now six, and we can't wait until first grade starts in a couple months.
